THE BIGGER PICTURE
Reijnders is likely to play for his country, and add to his 22 caps, when they face Finland in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday evening. Then, Koeman has confirmed, he will head to Manchester to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his transfer. He faces something of a tight deadline, however, given that Koeman's men play Malta on Tuesday.

WHAT RONALD KOEMAN SAID
Koeman told reporters: "As it looks now, he will go up [to Manchester] on Sunday morning. Then he will return to Oranje. [Manchester City]’s a great step. They called me a few months ago. I’ve mentioned more, but it seems to be limited to one. Tijjani has steadily developed very well."
